Description
We are seeking a dynamic Hedge Fund Accountant to join our firm. The role has a direct impact on the success of the business, as this individual will deal directly with clients.

Duties include

• full preparation of valuations for hedge funds on a monthly basis using our world class system (from transaction inception through to balance sheet)

• Assisting with business development efforts

• liaising with prime brokers, auditors and clients

• reconciliations of bank accounts and trading positions

• perform detailed review and valuation sign-off process

• assist with investor reporting, relations and queries

• attend new client meetings

• idea generation and ongoing assessment and improvement of the operational service model

• deliver a premium hedge fund administration service

Essential
You are a responsible, well presented, degree qualified candidate with strong accounting skills. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a fluency in the English language. You should also have an eye for detail and a strong aptitude for numbers. Experience with fund accounting is a must. You will have strong systems skills, especially advanced MS Excel.

Highly regarded

• CA / ACCA / CIMA or near completion

• understanding of financial instruments such as equities, futures, options, bonds and foreign exchange

• Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
